Afrikadey!'s audience is diverse and ever-expanding, coming from all over Calgary and beyond.

The Festival is an annual cultural fixture in the city: it presents free noon-hour concerts in Calgary's downtown cultural district, along with events at a variety of other venues in and around the city's core, and wraps up in one final day at the beautiful Prince's Island Park, which is transformed into an African marketplace with arts and crafts, children's activities, delicious food, a beer garden and, of course, plenty of room for dancing in front of the Main Stage to some of the best music that Africa and the Diaspora have to offer.

Now entering our nineteenth season, Afrikadey! has become Western Canada's premiere African arts festival. Afrikadey! attracts over 15,000 audience members each year.
